National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. The foundation stone was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru on 10 October 1959.

It was the first institution in the chain of National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India. The institute offers several undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Sc, MCA, MBA) and research programs in engineering, sciences, humanities, management, and related disciplines.

Project Title

Design and development of lightweight, cost-effective and energy-aware Fog-based crop yield recommendation, disease diagnosis and management system using Artificial Intelligence techniques for rural India

Essential Qualification

• M.E / M.Tech / B.E / B.Tech or equivalent degree in:

  • Computer Science Engineering

  • Information Technology

  • Artificial Intelligence & Data Science

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

  • Computer Science & Engineering (IoT)

  • Computer Science & Engineering (Networks)

  • Computer Science & Information Security

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (10-point scale)

• For Bachelor’s degree: 7.5 CGPA or 70% marks

Preference: Candidates qualified in GATE

Age Limit

Below 30 years

Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/Women and Physically Handicapped candidates.

Project Duration

2.5 Years

Stipend

For candidates selected through NET / GATE

• ₹37,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• ₹42,000 + HRA (3rd Year after promotion to SRF)

For candidates without NET / GATE

• ₹30,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• ₹33,000 + HRA (3rd Year after promotion to SRF)
