Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus invites applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Applied Control Engineering, with a strong focus on intelligent and autonomous control systems.

Research Areas

The selected Postdoctoral Fellow will work in one or more of the following domains:

• Process Control Design and Optimization

• Autonomous Systems Control (UAV and Robotics)

• Intelligent Control Techniques

• Artificial Intelligence in Automation

• Data-driven and Learning-based Control

• Networked and Cyber-Physical Control Systems

Qualification

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering / Control Engineering / Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics / AI-related Engineering disciplines, or a closely related field

• Candidates who have recently completed their Ph.D. or have submitted their thesis may also apply

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong theoretical and practical background in classical and modern control systems

• Expertise in system modelling, stability analysis, controller design, and performance evaluation for linear and non-linear systems

• Strong publication record or demonstrated potential to publish in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals

• Proven research experience in process control, autonomous systems, or intelligent control

• Exposure to industrial or cyber-physical applications

• Excellent proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and ROS for modelling, simulation, and validation

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research

• Publish research findings in reputed journals and conferences

• Assist the Principal Investigator in proposal development for external funding

• Support postgraduate research supervision

Fellowship Duration & Benefits

• Initial appointment: 1 year

• Extendable up to 2 years based on performance
