Key responsibilities

• Staff and Vehicle Management:
• Supervise, schedule, and direct drivers and other transportation staff.
• Ensure drivers have up-to-date qualifications and training.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Logistics and Operations:
• Plan and organize efficient transportation routes and schedules.
• Coordinate shipments and deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of goods.
• Budget and Compliance:
• Manage transportation budgets, oversee expenses, and negotiate with carriers.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation-related activities.
• Strategy and Improvement:
• Develop and implement transportation strategies.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to optimize operations.
