Public Service Commissions at both the Union and State levels are among the most important public institutions in India with a long and respected history. The origin of these commissions dates back to the Indian freedom movement, when leaders demanded progressive Indianisation of the Civil Services during the British Raj.

The Montagu–Chelmsford Report accepted the demand for Indianisation of higher civil services, and provisions were included in the Government of India Act, 1919. Later, the Royal Commission on the Superior Civil Service in India (1924) recommended the establishment of the Public Service Commission. As a result, the Public Service Commission of India was established on 1 October 1926 under the chairmanship of Sir Ross Barker.

• M.Sc. Computer Science (Regular 2-year course)
  OR

• MCA (Regular 3-year course)
  OR

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology (Regular course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

Additional Requirements:

• Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit OR 10+2 / B.A. / M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.

• HTET / STET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test / School Teacher Eligibility Test) qualification.

• Consistent good academic record.
