Nachimuthu Polytechnic College (NPTC) is an Autonomous, Government Aided, Co-educational institution affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Established in 1957 by Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, the institution has grown into a Polytechnic of Excellence offering 12 Diploma programmes and one Post Diploma programme.

Several branches including Mechanical, Civil, ECE, Automobile, Electrical, Textile, and Computer Engineering have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation for three years.
