Assistant Professor Grade II:

• Less than 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience

Assistant Professor Grade I:

• Minimum 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience

Salary (7th CPC Pay Scale)

Assistant Professor Grade II:

• Pay Level 10

• Minimum Basic Pay: ₹70,900

• Eligible for movement to Level 11 after 1 year

Assistant Professor Grade I:

• Pay Level 12

• Minimum Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500

• Eligible for Level 13A1 after 3 years
