The institution is managed by a team of professionals, educationists, and social entrepreneurs under the guidance of Sant Baba Kapoor Singh Ji Sanheranwale, a prominent spiritual and social figure of Punjab.

The college was founded with the mission of producing highly skilled teachers with a scientific temperament, especially in rural areas. Initially, the college started with one unit of B.Ed. (100 seats) and has now expanded to offer M.Ed. (2 units), B.Ed. (2 units), and D.El.Ed. (1 unit) programs.
