Project Description

The selected candidate will work on research projects focusing on:

Exploring how Urban Transformation has affected Common Pool Resource Management in the North-East Region of India.

Employment Type

Temporary / Project Based

Qualification & Experience

Candidates should have:

• Degree in Environmental Studies / Ecology / Sustainability / Social Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized university

• Minimum one year of field or research experience (preferred)

Required Skills

• Experience in field work with local communities

• Ability to conduct data collection, compilation, and basic analysis

• Proficiency in English and Nagamese

• Knowledge of local languages of Nagaland will be an added advantage

• Understanding of local culture and traditions preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected researcher will be responsible for:

• Conducting literature review related to the project

• Interacting with local communities and conducting field work

• Organizing interviews and focus group discussions

• Data compilation and transcription

• Preparing research manuscripts and academic articles

Project Duration

1 Year

Field research will be conducted in the districts of Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland.
